I've really been wanting another baby lately. :)
I used to think 5 years apart was a good idea, but now I think closer together is better. It will minimize the time that I can't work (because I insist upon staying home with the little one) and shortens my overall child-rearing years.
I did some research and 30 months apart is the average age difference in the US between siblings (Which would mean getting pregnant when the first kid is 21 months old).
However, a recent study conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded that the optimal gap between births is 18 to 23 months. According to the researchers involved in the study, this results in the healthiest possible outcomes for both mothers and babies.
So an 18-23 month age difference would mean getting pregnant when the first kid was 9-14 months old! Julienne is about to be 13 months old so I'm really considering planning for another baby soon. If I concieved in December they would be exactly 2 yrs apart. I know Josue really wants another baby, and my mother has been dropping hints at me that I should have another kid soon. Julienne has a deep interest in other babies and her dolls (which she has a million of). She even says "baby" and when you ask her where her baby is she finds the nearest doll and picks it up to kiss it, so I think she would enjoy a baby sibling too. Anyway, the only people's opinions I really care about are Josue, my mom, and Julienne and they all want a baby too so I think we might start that plan!
I really want a boy because then I will be over and done with makin' babies. Whereas if its another girl I know Josue will nag me until I produce a male heir for him. Seriously. Anyway, I just want one of each. But of course if I have a girl then I will be very happy!

So hooray for cute baby pictures. :)
Today Julienne learned to pick up little pieces of food with her finger and thumb and put them in her mouth. :) She's so proud of herself.

I haven't updated in a long time!
But I am getting internet hooked up in my new house sometime this week probably and then I will update a lot.
Right now I am using my cell phone as a wireless modem to get my PC oline but it is only like a 230K connection when my signal is strong (damn AT&T).
Anyway, then I will start updating regularly and posting pictures and stuff but right now this connecting to my slow ass cell phone service is unbearable for longer than 15 minutes, lol.
Juliennne is six months old now and she is awesome and stuff. She Keeps attacking my keyboard. Babies are crazy and stuff. Byebye.

Wow, I haven't posted anything besides baby pictures in a long time. My life has been really busy. Not to mention the fact that my computer got smashed to pieces (although I recently got a new one) and I don't have internet at home so I can only go online at the library.
So for those few people who see this who have not yet caught on, I had a baby girl on Sept. 17. Her name is Julienne Cosette Olivera and she's awesome. So she's pretty much what occupies all of my time. I'm not overexaggerating at all but I have not slept more than 3 1/2 hours at a time since Sept. 15. I kid you not.
Anyway... I'm not working right now, I stay home with the baby. Caylena and I have already made plans, but if anyone else wants to hang out for a little while, I'm almost always free. The baby just has to tag along. My cell is 845 901 5977.
Josue and I left the baby with my mom for a few hours the other night and went out, just the two of us, for the first time. We spent a lot of money but it was worth it. We had dinner at Red Lobster then went to the bar at Bonefish Grill (because Josue used to work there and knew that they wouldn't ID me). I had a pomegranate and mango martini and it was the best (alcoholic) drink I've ever tasted.
Oh, the other night I had a very realistic dream that Weird Al had died so the next day I went online to a Weird Al forum to see if he was actually dead and the first topic I saw said RIP. So I freaked out and clicked on it and as it turns out his poodle, Bela, died. That's still almost a prophetic dream, right? One time I dreamed that my brother and I would get in a car accident and the next day we did.
So besides the whole childbirth thing, not a lot else to say...

This is the only one I managed to send. It was taken a few minutes after she was born.
Anyway, she's cuddly. I'll post more pictures later when AT&T/Cingular decides to be nice to me.

Got into a freaking car accident last night. Josue almost hit a telephone pole so he swerved to the left, we went into a spin in someone's yard, and crashed into their house.
We didn't get out of the hospital until early this morning (hooray for Cayle and her mom being awesome and following the ambulance to the hospital and staying there with us all night. <3)
The cops took Josue's car and gave him 6 tickets (which, being a sneaky illegal mexican he's going to get away with not paying. Similarly, he's not going to pay a penny to fix the house nor is he going to pay any medical bills. Damn, I wish I was an illegal immigrant!)
Anyway, I am in a lot of pain which is increasingly getting worse, but the dipshits at the hospital didn't really do anything for me. Feh.... I got some burns on my arm and one or two little ones on my face from the airbag. They're getting better though. And I tore the little thingy that connects your top lip to your gums and it hurts like a motherfucker. But mainly my neck and back and right accross my chest where the seatbelt was are killing me and I can't take a full breath.
Oh yeah, AND MY FUCKING GLASSES ARE BROKEN! I CAN'T SEE A DAMN THING!
Also, when your car is spinning out of control, its really really really scary to see a house coming up at you. Yikes.
Well... my two remaining baby hamsters, Cappucino and Latte are almost ready to be weened from their mother. They're starting to fight with each other a little bit, and their mother basically neglects them. They're getting big and strong and they eat and drink all on their own now. So, I'm keeping Cappucino and as much as I love Latte, if anyone wants a hamster (and can provide her with a good home) I'm going to give her away. Otherwise I'll just keep her too. I have some pictures on my digital camera, but that was in the car when we crashed and I never found it. Josue is going to try to get the car back, and if not just to get some more of our stuff out today, so hopefully he'll find it.
Now we have no fucking car. And Josue was supposed to be going to see the apartment we were gonna get today. So much for that. Bloody hell.
---Oh yeah. When they took Josue out of the ambulance they asked if I was his daughter. WTF? Josue is only 8 months older than me! And I don't look Mexican! Lol...

Let's see, what's new with Jess besides hamsters?
Well the other night Josue and I quit our jobs for no reason at all, we walked out on our boss and majorly pissed him off.
BUT, I started my new job at the College Diner in New Paltz today and it went farely well.
Josue and I found a nice apartment in Highland for $500 a month (utilities included) and are planning to move in together there, but the problem is that the person renting it is our ex-boss' family, so Josue is going to talk to him tomorrow morning. Hopefully we can still get it.
I feel really bad about leaving the ranch, especially the way I did. Well... whatever.
It's just that I've been there since I was 16 and I'm 18 now so I've been there a good long while and... it feels weird being gone.
Oh, Josue gave me his brand new printer, his PS2, a portable DVD player/TV, 27 PS2 games, and 16 PSX games. Wtf?

So, I recently posted about my new hamster, Harvey the Wonder Hamster.
Well as it turns out, Harvey is actually Harvie, ie. he is she. You know how I know? I CAME HOME TO FIND 6 BABY HAMSTERS! They sold me a preggy hammy. Well... the girl at the pet store told me it was a male, and because I am still taming him (he's starting to get really friendly... I mean sheis) I haven't been able to pick him up and look for myself. Although, from watching her in the tunnels I was starting to think that he looked female.
Well I now I know because I have 6 little bald pink squirmy babies. I've been searching online and reading everything I can about hamster breeding, but I am unexperienced in this.
I feel bad for the hamsters. She has taken a disliking to one of them and keep kicking him off of her. I think he's a goner. :( Poor thing.
WHAT THE HELL AM I GONNA DO WITH SEVEN HAMSTERS?!

I JUST GOT MY HAMSTER!
His name is Harvey the Wonder Hamster and he's a short hair teddy bear hamster.
He is also very fat. He doesn't have trouble getting through most of his tunnels, but the one up to the exercise ball has two U bends in it and he had a very difficult time squeezing himself through. He hasn't even tried to go up to the tower. He found the tunnel that leads to the exercise wheel and has pretty much stayed there.
Anyway, when my second cage comes I'm going to move him into it and hook up some of my extra tunnels and stuff, and I'm going to get a dwarf hamster for the critter trail Z cage because Harvey can't fully appreciate its awesomeness. Of course, I'm going to wait a while for that, because Harvey and I need to get accustomed to each other, yknow.
In a few days I'll take pictures of him and post them. ^_^ He's so cute.

So, tomorrow Josue is taking me to get my hamster which I have wanted since I was like 9 or 10 years old and became a Weird Al fan. So, of course, he is going to be named Harvey the Wonder Hamster (duh!).
Anyway, since I've gotten a paypal account recently, I went on a crazy petco.com shopping spree.
So far, for my hamster I have gotten this cage (SuperPet CritterTrail Z):
Which is really neat because it has the little observation tower/petting room on the top and the wheel is the big ball thing, which detaches to be one of those balls that you put the hamster in so it can run around the house and fall down stairs or be used as a soccer ball. And I also got a pack of carefresh bedding. The second shipment is coming tomorrow (I had to wait until payday to order it, yknow). I ordered:  Bedroom furniture. The lamp can be used to hold food, the bed is a nice little thing for him to hide/sleep in, and he can admire himself in the vanity.
 Living room furniture. He can crawl into the TV and the Sofa to sleep, or rock in his rocking chair. Plus, another stupid lamp.
An expansion kit for his cage with another wheel, outhouse, loop, etc.
 A critter kabob to put treats and chew toys on and hang from the cage.
 ABC block chew toys (compatable with the critter kabob).
 Bark Bites, also compatable with the kabob.
Then, today I made another order which will arrive in a few days.
I got:
 The SuperPet CritterTrail One cage. CritterTrail makes tons of awesome cages, but I picked this one because it was their first cage and therefore the most simple. All of their other cages are full of accesories and I just wanted the second cage for extra space. I thinking I'm going to take the wheel out of it as there is a wheel in the CritterTrail X and the expansion kit I bought.
 A salt and mineral wheel to hang in the cage to entertain and keep Future Harvey the Wonder Hamster healthy.
 Treats for hamsters with lots of vitamins in them. I bought a couple flavors.
 A hamster potty which I just realized that I don't need because my expanion pack comes with an outhouse. Oh well... I have a back up now.
I also bought alfalfa hay and trail mix treats from hannaford's. Josue is gonna get me the hamster and a big bag of food and that's all I need!! ^_^
I'm so excited...
I've spent... about $150 on all of this crap! lol! Now I just need the damn hamster.
Well, I really wanted a Syrian hamster but I'm scared that he is going to outgrow the tunnels in the cages and it'll all be a huge waste of money, so I'm going to get a dwarf hamster. Woot.
As soon as I get him I'll post pictures!!! Now, everyone join me in singing the Harvey the Wonder Hamster Theme Song!

WOOO! Splashdown Beach today! CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!
HOORAY for being the only cracker in a big group of Mexicans!
